How long is the Taplin relay and how long does it take to complete?

 

The race is approximately 3-miles in length and takes between 45-minutes and an hour to complete.

 

Who may participate in the race?

 

The race is open to Southern California Lifeguard agencies.  Los Angeles County is so large it is broken into 3-sections (Southern, Central and Northern).

 

How do teams get their equipment out to the beach?

 

Event organizers can bring equipment to the race area utilizing beach vehicles.
