Frequently Asked Questions

 

What time does the contest begin on Sunday?

 

Registration begins at 7:00 a.m.  Rules and instructions at 7:20. The contest begins at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 9:30.  Awards will be presented at 10:00 am. Time extensions will not be given to late registrants.

 

Are there age groups?

 

Yes, youth (ages 12 and under) and teens and adults (ages 13 plus).

 

Can we work as a group?

 

Yes, there are two group divisions.  Junior (ages 5-12) and Open (any age).

What kind of tools can be used?

 

Buckets, cans and small shovels may be used. Bottles, glass and large shovels are not allowed.  You may decorate your structure with environmentally safe objects such as bead, cards, shells, pebbles and feathers.  The structure must be self-standing.  No supports allowed.
