Who can recieve the Lifeguard Medal of Valor?

 

Only current and past Los Angeles County Lifeguards are eligible to recieve the Lifeguard Medal of Valor.  On occasion the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce has presented a Special Recognition Award to a civilian.

 

Who may attend the dinner and what is the cost?

 

The dinner is open to the public.  The honorees and their immediate family are the guests of the Internation Surf Festival.  There is a nominal $20 fee for all others.  The price includes dinner and a no host bar.

 

Is there a dress code for the dinner?

 

This is a lifeguard event so Hawaiian casual is recomended.  The event is held outdoors though so a light jacket or wrap is recommended

 

Where is the dinner held?

 

The dinner is held at the Redondo Beach Seaside Lagoon.  200 Portofino Way, Redondo Beach.
